Ashlie's Game Day Skirt, part I

I have wanted to have a blog for a long time.  In fact I have had this one operational for years.....but it  is just like everything else that I let slide.  I don't find anything interesting to talk about, so I don't.  However, in an effort to keep myself busy when I'm off from my real job, I am going to attempt to resurrect this one.
I have yet to decide on just what direction I will go with it....but most of the blogs I enjoy, talk about loads of things.  So, I will probably ramble.....
This morning for instance my oldest daughter wants me to make her a skirt to wear to the Fl/GA game this weekend......so, that will be my main focus.

And yes, I know good pics are invaluable to a blog.....but this is as good as it's getting today.  Thursday it will be on my supermodel :) and we will photograph it better....it turned out very well.  I think she will love it!
I did not have a pattern.  My brain does not do well with a pattern.  I do much better by just getting in and doing something.  I did read through a few tutorials, but none of them convinced me to do something other than what I had already planned.
Thanks for stopping by....til tomorrow!

My Grandbaby's Quilt

I finished this quilt on Saturday.  It is for my first grandbaby, Raegan Jane.  She is scheduled to be born the first week of October.  We are all overjoyed....
Her mother and I have looked for a quilt for months now, and looked at countless bolts of fabric trying to find just the right thing.  The nursery is painted a pale teal color, with coral colored accents, with a little nautical theme.  (Not too much pink, begs the mother-to-be).  Everything was either TOO Pink, or not nautical enough... The she happened to remember that long ago (2008) her friend had purchased a jelly roll of a fabric line from a quilt shop.  She found it, and the colors were perfect...all I had to do was order a half yard of the anchors and a yard for the binding.  Fortunately I found a little on Etsy.  So, the quilt is made.  I am pretty proud of it.  It is perfect for little Rae Rae!  :)

My new email address is laurafallsweaver@gmail.com, at the moment i can't figure out how to edit that on the blogger panel.  Its been a few years since i blogged!
